Before entering the airline industry, Ganesh worked in the software domain delivering scalable large enterprise applications — an experience that established a career-long standard for structured execution, clear accountability, and leadership under pressure. Ganesh entered the airline technology and commercial domain through Datamatics, building foundational expertise in airline commercial systems before joining Saudi Arabian Airlines — where his work on the IBE transformation programme became the first of several landmark digital engagements that now define the practice.
The depth of specialisation came through five years at Qatar Airways, where Ganesh led the USD 1.46 billion direct digital sales business across 98 markets and 22 languages, managing a 50+ member cross-functional product, e-sales, e-Marketing, and analytics team. This was followed by digital and commercial transformation consultant roles at Jazeera Airways, TAAG Angola Airlines, and Air India — where he led NDC 21.3 implementation strategy, Integrated Group Booking Framework and Offer & Order transition roadmap work on some of the most complex airline retailing programmes in the region.
